Stan, some clarification. I'll respond to some of your other stuff in another post...

I believe (and someone please jump in and clarify this if I'm too far gone to be opening my mouth this late) that if the AP is configured to not broadcast its SSID, you will not see it even if the card is able to connect as "ANY". However, as my setup has never connected with SSID broadcast turned off, I can't confirm this.

I didn't respond to this. My AP is UNABLE to hide it's ssid.
Hopefully, this will be available to you in a subsequent firmware release.

And to your comment about 'beta report' this is (unless my contact sent me a beta without telling me) supposed to be one of those already working cards that are listed on Jonas' site but not generally available.

I understand. I was just being tongue-in-cheek. Most "I can't get it working" posts are, you know, vague. In refreshing contrast (I should expect this from you; you know what you're doing with this stuff), your message was clear, compiled, and showed that you'd tried several angles before seeking assistance.

I'm sure the those in the know, ID'd the card from the SSID that was in the NIF since they appear to be different in the Prism drivers. I was hoping for a more enlightened 'out-of-the-box' experience, but eCS 1.1 (in general) reminds me more of OS/2 2.0 in it's install issues. I'm ready to put MCP2 or ACP1 on the box.
Understood. Have you mentioned this over in the eCS forums or in their newsgroup? I'm not sure what's really different between the eCS 1.1 implementation and earlier Warp releases. I've done a couple test installs of eCS 1.1, which went quite well. In fact, the only hardware that's given me trouble is that which actually has no available driver: an AOpen motherboard with an SIS chipset and onboard LAN. There's no published driver for the NIC.
