Shameless plug dept.: As a component of Rosenthal & Rosenthal's new foray into the realm of deploying hotspots in the Long Island, NY area (and anywhere else, I 'spose!), we have "formed" LI WireFree.org as a user community for wireless netizens. As liwirefree.org is constructed as a weblog (blog), there's lots of room to comment and discuss various topics of wireless interest, and you'll find the beginning topic list is broken down for OS-specific areas, including (of course!!) OS/2. Everyone here is cordially invited to register (and participate in the gamma test - which I suppose is what we're going through right now, as w eonly have a handful of registrants) and start blogging! Oh, and for those of us running Mozilla, MozBlog, the blogger client extension for Mozilla, works with liwirefree.org (it's a Geeklog site). Of course, you don;t need a blogger client, and you may simply enter your thoughts, comments, observations, etc. directly into the built-in forms on the site. A couple quick caveats about what's working & what isn't: * Calendar function is currently only working for anonymous (not logged in) users. Once logged in, the master calendar and the user's personal calendar appear to time out. Working on this! * Long posts don't seem to make it up. Yes, you may submit long-ish posts, but when Admin approves them for publication, they seem to stall. This appears to be a MySQL issue (MySQL is running on NetWare 6, here), and I'm working hard on resolving this issue. Meanwhile, submit as you will, and I'll break large ones into smaller pieces if need be! * I think that's it.
