Charles, as always, thanks for your kind words. I'm thinking that a general overview of the hardware options available to us, the differences in operation between Win setups & OS/2 (instructions are, predictably, aimed toward Win users, without regard to the limitations or altered functionality of other OSes), and the security concerns of home, SOHO, and enterprise applications would be the best way to approach the presentation.
As to your question concerning where, Warpstock is slated for San Francisco this year. :-)

Lewis, Good to see your presence here on the list. Spurs things up a bit. <g> Regarding topics, I am now in the throws of understanding WinXP Pro on my
new A31p and it's wireless networking component. Not even thinking of
venturing into the wireless aspect of eCS v1.1 just yet, I'm just
stumbling my way through with plans of ultimately wiping the recovery
partition (8GB of FAT32) and acquiring the Recovery CD to eventually have
both opsyses on my 40GB drive. So, something along the lines of wireless
setup for home DSL users for eCS v1.1 would be of keen interest to me.
Also, the switching from wireless to wired would be essential knowledge
for those same users, being that it appears much easier a task under WinXP
Pro. THEN, I would think setting up the security of these networks would be appreciated by these same home users, even though I'm sure administrators might benefit from a more in depth analysis of where the holes are and how best to plug them with an eye toward some of these home users bringing
their wireless machines to work and wanting to incorporate them into the
corporate structure and what concerns this will bring. Finally, I'm thinking a brief discussion of specific transceivers, their manufacturers and the related drivers issue might help prospective wireless
purchaser make up their minds as to which machines to purchase. I know the
help I received here was most beneficial in directing my purchase. I feel comfortable that I can bring up my wireless network on both opsyses without
incident nor will I have to wait to do so. And, I'm thinking the driver
for my ActionTec PRISM mPCI adapter may have beneficial modifications
implemented more quickly than a more recently released version for one of
the other ones. BTW, where are you planning to speak? It seems Houston, TX never gets much action in this regard unless it's a Microsoft production (which are
generally HUGE) even though by their nature they are very superficial.
But, Austin is only a 2 1/2 hour drive for me and I LOVE that area. <G> > bluetooth Oh, yeah. Very much an interesting topic for understanding under eCS. Charles [09:26 CT, 05-Jun-03] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
