One more possibility to be considered is that the Linksys is FUBAR and all the
setting cockeyed.  To fix that, power on, press and hold the reset button on
the back until the power light blinks a couple of times, then unplug it, let it
sit for a couple of seconds and plug the power back in.  That puts you back to
factory default settings: 192.168.1.1, blank for userID and admin for password.
