Hi,
All three scenario's make sense.
I have a fourth one here at home:
lan0 (wirelessnic, sometimes dhcp, sometimes 192.168.1.18 )
lan1 (wired nic, normally not used, 192.168.2.19, but for backup at the weekend used and thus 192.168.1.19)
For backup at the weekend I have to chose the lan0 as 192.168.2.18 (wxlan widget)
but before that I have to disable lan1, after choosing wxlan to 192.168.2.18 I can change lan1 to 192.168.1.19 .
So I can start my backup of the notebook.
Normally wireless has speed enough, but to backup 4 gig of data takes a long time. So wired 100Mb is then preferred.
greetings,
Peter
