Okay, here goes: Firmware, according to the Cisco ACU is 5b30.11.

OT: Re: sound in VPC/2: What audio driver are you using? UNIAUD seems to work quite well for me these days.

See below...

All the profiles. I have a separate profile for my townhouse in Leesburg (different SSID; no WEP). I can switch between them without any problem. That said, the selection does not survive a reboot, meaning I have to reselect a profile other than the first one after a restart, which is a bit of a nuisance, but not a real problem.

I know someone else reported having the same issue I do with just the first working.  I ask because you also said you had WEP working whereas I don't and am wondering if it is an issue with the firmware.

Yes, WEP seems to work when run against later LinkSys (post-Cisco-buyout) hardware. The AP I'm using in Leesburg is an older LinkSys WAP11, and it does not work.

I would be interested in knowing which firmware you are using.  I have a Cisco 340 card and 340 AP both flashed to the latest 350.

I'm finishing up some fighting with my sendmail configuraiton on my mail server (luckily, this list runs through InetMail; I use sendmail for PHP apps). As soon as that's done, I'll reboot to <gulp> Wintendo and check my firmware rev. I must apologize; you asked me for this back in April, and I let it slip.

Not a big deal, I am now curious though if the firmware is part of the difference as to why the other profiles work for you.

I don't really need WEP here but would like to be able to use it when I connect to other peoples wireless when I go over.  Generally not that critical as I am likely to be gaming and having to use the wintendo partition anyway.

My condolences... ;-)

Yes this is one place I really wish I really knew quite abit more about programming.  I would like to get some of the games working under Odin.  It would save me quite a bit of hard disk space not having to have a seperate game partition. :-)
Though Diablo plays pretty well in VPC/2 my sound card doesn't work so well with it and the sound makes the game a bit easier to play ;-)
