As a security measure, however, Mark, this (MAC address filtering) is
relatively weak. Some basic sniffing will reveal the associated MACs (which
traverse the air in clear text). After that, it's simply a matter of
spoofing one to get connected. Obviously, if there's already an IP assigned
to that MAC, there will be some connectivity issues, but when your
legitimate hardware is offline, someone else may freely connect (and you'll
become quite frustrated with your on again/off again connectivity).
