Did the hotel say that it required that their Linksys cards be used for
wireless access?  If so it is most likely that the wireless router they
are using filters on the cards MAC addresses to prevent unauthorized
access.  They know this since its their own cards.  I do this on my
wireless router to prevent anyone accessing outside of my two wireless
cards.
