I plan to assemble a WiFi LAN with a make-believe internet connection. Besides the basic setup and 128-bit WEP configuration, is there anything else that anyone thinks I should cover in particular? Hotspot stuff is usually pretty easy (no encryption; turn off peer services). Tips for hotels (mind the SSID; dealing with captive portals)? Incompatible security (EAP, LEAP, TKIP, WPA)? VPN concerns? Channel-hopping? Input is greatly appreciated. Hope to see many of you there!! -- Lewis ------------------------------------------------------------ Lewis G Rosenthal, CNA Rosenthal & Rosenthal Accountants / Network Consultants New York / Northern Virginia www.2rosenthals.com Team OS/2 / NetWare Users International www.novell.com ------------------------------------------------------------ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to steward@2rosenthals.com with the command "unsubscribe os2-wireless_users" in the body (omit the quotes).
