When you say set the SSID in the config what exactly do you mean? I put the
encryption key and type and the ssid in Wifistat.

No, the encrypted AP belongs to the IT department. The unencrypted one is my
personal AP and I'm really not allowed to use it anymore since the company
supplied the new one. On my AP I'm using Mac address filtering and no WEP.
The company AP I think is a Cisco model and I have no idea which one. It is
using 128 bit encryption, Mac address filtering and does not broadcast the
SSID.

My card is the IBM High Rate 128 and I'm using the driver for it that is
available on the eCS site. I'm not sure what firmware it has, how would I find
that out?
Thanks,
