what router/ap are you using.....I just had an instance at a friends where I setup the laptop and it worked fine for a few 
days and then wouldn't connect to get the DHCP, it would find the network and not get a response. Found that there 
was a firmware update for the router which corrected the problem with Centrino based laptops.
