Thanks for writing this utility.
I have downloaded and intalled it. Currently,Yep, that is a problem. Gerrit Schoenmakers and I developed a little script that is capable of selecting automatically between cabled and WLAN interface, when launched. If the cabled interface is available, the DHCP request is not performed on the WLAN interface. Interested ?
I use a pair of REXX programs to switch between the wired and the wireless
networks. I need to completely down one to use the other, because they are both
DHCP.
I'm going to modify both scripts to use your utility rather than WiFiState.I think if you use any script for IP configuration, you have to disable IP configuration within the Wireless LAN monitor anyway (so concerning the configuration of the IP address etc it does not make any difference if you use the WifiState app or the Wireless LAN monitor). Or did I miss something ?
Actually, other than not launching WifiState, I don't think I need any moreI would be interested to hear about your experiences.
modification. I'm travelling next week, and will be using wireless extensively
on my trip.
