Of course not. the widget sets the interface to lan7 just for safety. This is a dummy value, in order not to misconfigure lan0, if that is used for a cabled connection > So I switched it to lan0 in the wlan widget and it got an ip address > (never changing MPTS). Since then that is what I have been doing to get an IP > address on my wireless. This is not the way it should work, it should perform the DHCP request after reboot. Please make sure that the WLAN nic is _not_ configured in the TCP/IP configuration. Here it works flawlessly set to lan2 (that is for my WLAN nic, lan0 is a cabled connection and lan1 is the null driver). Everytime I launch the widget, it performs the DHCP request. With the V1.02, this should happen even every time when you close and restart the XCenter (in the forthcoming version I implemented something to prevent at least this). Could you try that ? thanx, Christian ------------------------------------------------- Christian Langanke COS2E & CWSE Team OS/2 Ruhr e.V. cla@clanganke.de =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to steward@2rosenthals.com with the command "unsubscribe os2-wireless_users" in the body (omit the quotes).
