Lan0 is my wired card in MPTS.

This was my misconception. Then lan0 is of course the correct interface to set.

I then originally set the wlan widget to enable Lan7 and configured using dhcp.  This didn't ever work.

Of course not. the widget sets the interface to lan7 just for safety. This is a dummy value, in order not to misconfigure lan0, if that is used for a cabled connection

So I switched it to lan0 in the wlan widget and it got an ip address (never changing MPTS).

This is the way it should work

The next boot with the wlan card I did not get an ip address, so I switched it to Lan1 and closed the wlan widget then reopened the wlan widget and switched it back to Lan0 and closed it and got an ip address.  Since then that is what I have been doing to get an IP address on my wireless.

This is not the way it should work, it should perform the DHCP request after reboot. Please make sure that the WLAN nic is _not_ configured in the TCP/IP configuration. Here it works flawlessly set to lan2 (that is for my WLAN nic, lan0 is a cabled connection and lan1 is the null driver). Everytime I launch the widget, it performs the DHCP request. With the V1.02, this should happen even every time when you close and restart the XCenter (in the forthcoming version I implemented something to prevent at least this). Could you try that  ?

thanx, Christian
