Did you try the following commands:
dhcpmon -l (release lease)
dhcpmon -t (terminate dhcp)

after that i think you can start dhcp again with:
dhcpstrt -i lan1

Right ! I forgot about that solution to make dhcp client work again.
The reason for this may be that I my "solution" to kill the DHCP client deamon dhcpcd.exe at least allows to keep the configuration of the previously DHCP configured interface alive, while the above commands will render this interface useless (setting the address  0.0.0.0)...
