A great Idea. A hook for a command to be run.  
I though of this as well, but I dont see this being that much required for any of the problems discussed until now like e.g. the switch between cabled and WLAN connection to the same local network - such topics need to be solved on IP basis and you need quite some knowledge for this (for example not everybody knows what ARP is and when it would be absolutely required to flush it in that scenario...).

A good reason for scripts would be if e.g. at your home you had no DHCP server and would need to use "manual" IP configuration, and then no default gateway was set, or the DNS entries were not set...)

I think more available profiles would be great too.  I have wireless at my home, my friends, my in-laws and the car dealer (I don't mind waiting for that oil change now, I can have a Gevalia coffee and surf the web).  Except for the car dealer, they are all encrypted and the dealers is that stupid SSID "Honda Public' with the blank space.  
This is definitely on the todo list. Unfortunately this is a major change and it will definitely will break the compatibility to WifiState..
