wifi stat is not like a network search ala windows. since a profile is always selected it will try to use the profile
parameters to connect to that. You could have a 'default' profile setup, where the ssid is 'ANY' I supose, but to test
this where the SSID is not broadcast, I would have to take a little trip to my friends where there are two networks
available, one with the SSID and one without and the ANY parameter -- the one without the SSID broadcast is
encrypted and mac filtered, but my mac is in the accepted list. Maybe later, but most likely tomorrow.
