Welcome, Andy, and sorry (again) for the subscription difficulties.

You must be using the "internal" IBM driver for the Cisco, which only supports 64-bit WEP. Jens' driver allows 128-bit WEP keys. AFAIK, the "original" (internal) driver could not be patched for 128-bit WEP. Besides, Jens' driver is sooooooo much better. To get it, you need to be on the "beta" list. If you check the archives of this mailing list, you'll find some posts from Jens, along with his email address. I suggest you drop him a note and ask to be added to the list of beta testers.

The web archives of this list are located at www.2rosenthals.com/lists/os2-wireless_users.

Good luck!

Howdy everyone,
I have a cisco 340 wireless card that I am trying to setup with wep on my eCS machine.  It works if I don't setup wep and if I boot to XP then it works with wep.  I think the problem is the key I am setting wep on.  The AP (a cisco 340 also) has 4 possible keys to use as does the windoze driver but the eCS driver has volatile and nonvolatile but I don't know which key it corresponds to. Also is there any way to patch the 340 driver to allow 128 bit encryption?
thanks,
Andy
