OTOH, I haven't seen any real performance benchmarks on Centrino Wi-Fi vs the more traditional cards ("traditional" is a funny word here, isn't it? I mean...what...two or three years since the technology has become widespread...? ;-) ). It might be a situation akin to finding WinModem drivers, only to discover that the performance of the hardware is so p-ss-poor that you'd be better off with a PCMCIA card.
