Lewis,
I suppose that I'm planning for all circumstances that MAY occur in my life
where I would be using the new notebook, i.e. traveling using either a
wireless access point or a modem for dial-up as an alternative in a hotel
room, etc., as well as the wireless connection here at home and in the
office. I suppose that is why it has taken me so long to adopt that mode
of computing because I haven't really had the need before. Nevermind it
took me all these years to finally decide that I needed a cellular
telephone and I actually got the service and functionality that I required
for the nominal price that I demand.
Anyway, I'm getting anxious about the prospect of actually having one of
these "fancy dudes" and will finally be able to "fit in" at my evening
advance legal research class where I seem to be the lone wolf without one.
Education today sure is a different bird than when I was attending law
school 20 years ago but the upside is that I appreciate the notoriety of
being the only grey hair in the class besides the professor and he and I
get along just swell! <g>
BTW, I learned the function of "suspend" on my Win2K machine when I
accidently pressed one of the multi-function keys on my Logitech Internet
wiz-bang keyboard and the screen blanked. Couldn't for the life of me
figure out which key to press to return the machine to operation until I
tried the Power Button. Geesh, what will they think of next! <ROAR!>
