MiniPCI adapters snap in and out via a little trap door in the bottom of the machine, much the same way as the memory snaps in and out. For wired ethernet and/or combo ethernet/modem cards, there are one or two cable connectors to plug into the card. For wireless, I believe the antenna connector plugs in (the antenna is in the display frame, or so I've been told (which tends to be a good place for it, acting like a big antenna ring, akin to a UHF loop).

Neil, > I can get Artem or Cisco 340/350 today. > I was waiting for LinkSys Are you talking PCI wireless adapters? If so, why? I'm more inclined to integrated wireless with the miniPCI, I suppose, being
that I know next to nothing about the hardware. Which begs the question,
how does the miniPCI adapter work, is it removeable/replaceable if it
should fail? Isn't it actually internal to the machine such that nothing
"sticks out?" Charles [11:30 CT, 24-Mar-03] --
