Diebold ATM (exIBM ATM ;) can be equipeed with IDM (Intelligent 
Depositor Module), so consumer can make deposit cash or cheque. IDM have 
built-in scanner, whick can scan cheque or marking on deposit envelope 
and send scanned info to bank, for processing. May be used for on-line 
cheque processing (consumer deposit cheque, scanner scan it, and bank 
transfer fund to customer account). Actually, i'm technician and 
prograqmmer, not specialist in banking operations, so can't give more 
info about purpose of this device. Most interesting to us what cheque 
scanner have firewire (ieee1394) interface, and os/2 drivers. So i can 
look into it and make own os/2 driver for firewire. ;)

Hmm. It's offtopic completely, but i'm not like war. My grandfather's 
and grandmother fight in WW2. Lucky enough to survive, but... Father - 
military officier, lt.colonel, spend most of his life at military 
garrisons deep in Syberia, at Soviet-China border. I'm spend 2 year's in
