Guys,
as I mentioned earlier, this fix can be used be anyone. On the other hand,
don't touch a running system ;-)
It fixes some communication timing problems, enables FTPing files larger 2
GB and problems with DIR command accessing large directories (dir with 10k
files)

Actually, Charles, I believe Oliver was directing the patch (and his
comments) to Al. I sort of crashed the party (pardon the pun) when Al
mentioned his transport traps (you know, misery loves company)... :-)
I suppose Oliver should comment on whether the ftp patch is applicable
to everyone using IBM's ftp client.
