Zadeva: OS/2 Wireless Users List: Traps with unofficial Cisco wireless drivers

Thanks for posting this, Oliver. I'm actually seeing two traps on my system, and both happened multiple times, yesterday. Perhaps this will address the non-NetWare trap I'm seeing. I'm also getting a trap D in NWREQ.SYS and that's the one during heavy file I/O between my station & my NetWare server. If I bypass my direct connection, and route the transfer through a Citrix session, the problem does not occur. The only difference here is that the transport between my system & the Citrix box is TCP/IP, and then the Citrix box will transport to the NetWare server over either IP or IPX (I think I have IPX set as my preferred protocol under W2K - Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 is running under W2K Advanced Server). So, that problem may lie in the IPX stack on my OS/2 box.

there's an FTP fix on top of UN2206, that should help.
So, please apply UN2206 (along with WR8706) and then this fix:(See attached

Is anyone else on the list seeing traps with the unofficial Cisco wireless
drivers?  I'm able to get a reproducible trap (originally a trap E, lately
a trap C) when I do an ftp "get" when the data comes in very quickly (from
another location on our LAN).  It also happens sometimes when web

browsing.

This happens with both a Cisco 350 and a 340 (PCMCIA cards).

I've now picked up an IBM High Rate Wireless card and am awaiting the
release
of those drivers...

Thanks,
Aron

Oh, if anyone's curious, the trap information follows.  This is with
Warp 4, FP 16, TCPIP 4.3.2 with the IC35313 stack fix, and one of the
recent kernel updates too.
