Subject: OS/2 Wireless Users List: Traps with unofficial Cisco wireless drivers

I get consistent traps even wired through my onboard e100b (EtherJet), and not just via TCP/IP. I get it on large transfers to or from my NetWare servers (and the OS/2 NetWare Requester only transports over IPX, not IP). My prior assumption had been that it had something to do with NetWare 6, as I never saw it on my NetWare 4.11 servers, though my 4.11 boxes were not running 100Mbps connections (and, of course, neither is my Cisco card). They are annoying, though.

My setup (eCS 1.0, installed off of disk 2, which really makes it MCP1, I 'spose):

DD FixPak 1
INETVER shows:

SOCKETS.SYS: 6.3000
AFOS2.SYS:   6.3000
AFINET.SYS:  6.3001

IP Stack: WR08705

Same result with the e100b NIC driver from 1997 as the one I'm using currently (4/29/2002) & the Cisco driver.

NetWare OS/2 Requester: 2.12 (final patches applied)

Different kernel revisions (recently 14.093 UNI, prior 14.089 UNI, several before that).

I'm almost glad to hear that this might not be related to NetWare (Novell certainly isn't going to fix anything with the OS/2 Requester at this point).

Subject:    OS/2 Wireless Users List: Traps with unofficial Cisco wireless
     drivers

Is anyone else on the list seeing traps with the unofficial Cisco wireless
drivers?  I'm able to get a reproducible trap (originally a trap E, lately
a trap C) when I do an ftp "get" when the data comes in very quickly (from
another location on our LAN).  It also happens sometimes when web browsing.
This happens with both a Cisco 350 and a 340 (PCMCIA cards).

I've now picked up an IBM High Rate Wireless card and am awaiting the
release
of those drivers...

Thanks,
Aron

Oh, if anyone's curious, the trap information follows.  This is with
Warp 4, FP 16, TCPIP 4.3.2 with the IC35313 stack fix, and one of the
recent kernel updates too.
