Oliver, is that "hot swap" or "warm swap"? I was under the impression (haven't tried it yet) that the system needed to go down to standby in order to swap UltraBay drives. We need someone to write a nice WPS interface to Dani's drivers like the 'doze versions have: "It is now safe to remove your XYZ drive."

BTW, there was some mention either here or in OS2-ISP (I think it may have been Al Stephan) about NICs not waking up again after standby. Since then, I inadvertently left my T20 running on battery while my Cisco 350 drained it (almost) dry. The system went into suspend (hey, power management that works!), but when I awakened it, my network connection was down & I had to reboot (I had a pulse on the card, but even MPTSTART wouldn't get IP flowing again). My wife's A22m doesn't seem to have a problem. I know there was some update to the e100b NIC driver related to this problem, and I upgraded mine recently; however, this happened with the Cisco card, and both machines are using the same (not-so-strictly-legal) build of the Cisco driver. Any thoughts about what might not be allowing the card to come online again?

AFAIK, Charles, the A series is not officially supported for OS/2

From the DD matrix, it appears that the A3x models only use the IBM

High Rate wireless and not Cisco. I wonder, then, whether the
as-yet-to-be-released IBM drivers will work for the mini PCI wireless
NIC as well as the PCMCIA version? Perhaps Oliver can comment on this,
at least to the point of whetehr they've been tested. If so, you may be
in good shape in short order. Also, I notice that IBM direct is offering
a free UnltrBay battery with purchases through the 16th or 17th of this
month. Considering the cost of an UltraBay battery ($200+, I've seen),
that sounds like a good deal. (It's also quite amusing to see drivers
for the following "unsupported" OSes listed in the DD matrix: DOS, Win
95 - 95, would you believe it? - , and OS/2.)

Yes, they will.
I am running an A31p with ACP2, SNAP, PCMCIA package from SWC,
UNIAUD and the "yet-to-be-released" mPCI PRISM driver.
Also DANIS506 & DANIATAPI 1.6.2 (and higher) gives you Hot-swap
on Ultrabay.    It hasn't rebooted since weeks!!!

Oliver.
