Personally, I don't think that holding a cell phone is any different than holding a cup of coffee (actually, it's less dangerous, as there's nothing to spill). The slope gets pretty slippery, though, and next thing you know, there'll be a law that says I can't even have a snack in the car, or change CD's, or reach into the glovebox, or...
