Subject: OS/2 Wireless Users List: Intel power saving technology

Ever notice how your wireless NIC sucks down the juice? I've found it particular;ly interesting to note that my Cisco 350 drains my battery faster than when I swap in my wife's 340. Her ThinkPad A22m runs for well over an hour and a half with the 340, while I'm lucky to get much over an hour (1:10?) with my T20 running the 350.

Looks like Intel has stepped up to the plate with their Centrino wireless offerings:

From the looks of it, these are all integrated component solutions, but it may open an avenue for better power management of 802.11x peripherals.
