I got a call from a client some months ago after just setting up an X60 for her (XP). the Wi-Fi suddenly would not work. I had to refer her to Lenovo for support, as I had no machine nearby to walk thorugh troubleshooting steps with her. It turned out to be that blasted switch, which she had inadvertently bumped... I'm not sure whether the switch being off would still allow OS/2 to access the hardware. I thought it would have just cut power to the NIC.
