I replaced my wired router along with a WAP with a linksys WRT54GL. It'sI don't recall whether the T60 has a hardware switch for the Wi-Fi. Check to make sure that it is on (look toward the front of the machine, under the lip).
all working so far, except that I can't get encryption to work on my T60
laptop.
Linksys offers WPA Personal and WPA2 Personal, each with AES or TKIP.
XWLan offers WPA PSK or WPA2PSK.
>From earlier experiments with Windows, I believe that the MAC (Intel
3945ABG) only does WPA - not WPA2.
However, I have been unable to get a winning combination.
Another aggravation is that Access Connections [Fn-F5] tells me that the
wireless is off, and clicking to turn it on doesn't change anything.
Wireless does work if I leave it on in eCS and then boot to windows.
