I talks to all internet feeds I have come across - ADSL / Cable / 3G (but in all cases using the appropriate service providers modem - the WRT54G is not a modem). This AP benefits from the fact that Linksys (now Cisco) open sourced the firmware and now may upgrades are available for it to add all kinds of features that would normally only be on professional devices. DD-WRT is a well known collection of upgrade firware for the WRT and several other router/APs. What you need is firmware to add the Bridging function to the device, this is also at DD-WRT I believe. The WiFi router needs to act as a client to the hotel WiFi network and then you have 4 internet connected (but protected) ports. If however the Hotel requires some human intervention to log in to the WiFi network I suspect this may not be possible using a bridge as you suggest. It's better to use one of these boxes rather than trying to perform ICS with Windoze as this is a facility you need to be reliable. One question however - are you sure you want to carry all of this equipment with you ? There are I believe AP/Routers with ATA's built in - but again you may have the security web login issues. I guess you're running OS/2 or eCS - which is why you have to use a physical ATA ? It's a real shame that ther's no SIP compliant VOIP softphone software for OS/2 - I sent an e-mail to the SJPhone people as they state they want to be able to run on any PC platform. No response received from them. I wonder if a Windoze or Linux softphone would work from within VirtualPC on eCS ?? If so that may be a simpler solution for you.
