Yes, this is a good idea when the MAC isn't properly reported. In my experience, this is a driver issue. What Win driver version are you using in the wrapper directory? Have you perhaps tried updating it to a newer one or back-reving?
            
Not Win -  this is with the zapped OS/2 EL90X driver.

  
      
The GenMAC wrapper directory contains a Win driver, which would be the one I thought was zapped. That said, from your previous post, it appears that you are running the older GenMAC 2.00 and not the "current" 2.00, which does not list the 3C556 in its compatibility matrix. This makes troubleshooting a bit harder, as I'm not at all familiar with the older style setup.
    

What makes you think that? I got it from netlabs this week. I also
tried the card this afternoon from win2000 - works perfectly at 100Mbs
- of course :-(

Who do I need to contact to find out why it got dropped - that VOICE
announcement seems clear enough - and can we get it back given I have a
set of the latest win drivers now.

  
Hi Dave,

I think you may be mixing up the Genmac driver pack with the Genmac Wrapper driver.

The former is a collection of OS/2 native drivers and a mechanism to chose the correct one at start up. The latter is the one that uses Windows inf files.

The announcement appeared to be about the former. This used to be downloadable from the eComstation site using your eCS subscription and the eCS management tool.
