The situation worsens. I tried to construct my own protocol.ini file by downloading genmac200 with the Intel files and installed them. In the end MPTS was used to replace the old .ini file, etc. After rebooting, the computer trapped half-way through the booting and refused to co-operate totally. What is worse, I have two eCS partition, D: (for normal use) and G:(a maintenance partition). The installation was done strictly on the maintenance partition, but the D: partition lost the desktop and is now in a state that requires also a new installation. Not much luck today... but a somewhat larger .ini file was indeed generated which I am not anxious to try.
