After installing eCS2.0rc3 on my thinkpad T40 with a built-in PC minicard, Intel 2100, I tried in vain to connect to wireless networks. After installation, during boot I get a flashing message in green 'No valid hardware info in Protocol.ini for ("WRND32$ ")'. The icon on the eCenter is black and crossed out in red, when it should really be green and "alive". I am sure I clicked on wireless connection during installation and the system discovered the Intel 2100 mini-card. (Under Windows the wireless connections work with my T40 and mini-card.) Apparently, something did not load right - perhaps protocol.ini. I was told that a similar failure exist with rc3 and Intel 2200 in other thinkpads of the 40 series. What can I do to try for wireless connections? Any suggestion would be welcome.
