Hi:Okay. The only dumb questions are the ones which don't get asked, so feel free!!
It is possible that I will be asking some questions that may seem rather, shall we say, unenlightened.
That's because I human.
Of necessity I have launched myself into deep water by trying to setup my Laptop to do some thingsOkay.
that TFB says it can do. At the moment I am trying to get the NETQOS2 to the place where I can get answers as to why the
Compiler gives error messages when I ask it to do a job. Not that it will help. Somehow the Library files can be accessed through the LAN when the right connections are made.
But for some reason that doesn't seem to work for me.Then localhost is functioning. localhost should return 127.0.0.1.
TFB says to configure the TCP/IP so that the "localhost" functions. And I can "ping" not only the
the Localhost but also the Loopback client. No problem.
But so far asking about the error messages from the IBM Compiler have produces NO results.Insofar as networking protocols, I would say that you should be good to go (if localhost is working). Insofar as the compiler itself is concerned, I can;t be of much help, as I haven't used it.
eCS says that the Compiler Help file can't be found. What have I overlooked?
Have I failed to install the proper Protocols?
