Previously, it wasn't working after bootup (with dynamic IP specified).
I could get it to work using my fixedip.cmd.
After the tinkering with the cfg file, it still doesn't work after bootup
(see below) but if I run my wired.cmd file, it works perfectly.
I'm thinking that the issue may be a timing thing between the IP stack (delayed, perhaps, due to the logging configuration) and the GenMAC driver. This might explain why I didn't see the problem with the native Broadcom driver.

Now the NETW3X32.SYS file is there, but in the directory:
F:\GENMAC\WRAPPER_8086_4227\ Oops!
On a hunch, I copied that directory under the DRIVERS directory and
rebooted.
Yep, that's where it belongs...
SUCCESS! XWLAN now lights up and I'm connected.
Moral of the story - check the GENMAC\DRIVERS\wrnd32.log file!
