I was having dhcp problems with the wired lan on the T60. Finally did your
tinkering with dhcpcd.cfg and got it to mostly work.

Previously, it wasn't working after bootup (with dynamic IP specified).

I could get it to work using my fixedip.cmd.

After the tinkering with the cfg file, it still doesn't work after bootup
(see below) but if I run my wired.cmd file, it works perfectly.

I suspect that the bootup problem may be related to the fact that the
wireless lan still wasn't working; I get the same cuss messages but just
for it in lantran.log.

I suspect something with the genmac version. Before I reinstalled RC2, I
had it working with an earlier genmac (although the wired lan didn't work
with that version:-(

Looking at the wrnd32.log file, I saw:

Sun Nov  4 17:31:24 2007 [WRND322$]Helper
Sun Nov  4 17:31:24 2007 [WRND322$]FUNCTION : 0x00000010
Sun Nov  4 17:31:24 2007 FUNCTION_READ_FILE 1
Sun Nov  4 17:31:24 2007 [WRND322$] File
"F:\GENMAC\DRIVER\WRAPPER_8086_4227\NETW3X32.SYS" not found! Sun Nov  4
17:31:24 2007 [WRND322$]WrapperPath "\IBMCOM\MACS\NETW3X32.SYS"  Sun Nov
4 17:31:24 2007 [WRND322$] File "\T_NDIS\NETW3X32.SYS" not found! Sun Nov
4 17:31:24 2007 [WRND322$]Load File Error "\T_NDIS\NETW3X32.SYS"

Now the NETW3X32.SYS file is there, but in the directory:

F:\GENMAC\WRAPPER_8086_4227\

On a hunch, I copied that directory under the DRIVERS directory and
rebooted.

SUCCESS!  XWLAN now lights up and I'm connected.

Moral of the story - check the GENMAC\DRIVERS\wrnd32.log file!
