The 2200 should certainly not behave that way. If you've checked the power management and still experience the issue, I'll send you another crad to swap for it. You'll at least be able to see if there's a difference between the two.
I have to look into the advanced settings and see if the power management can be turned off totally. There's something on the Intel site or in their driver docs that say that power management is a part of the spec and that not following it is a problem....
I'll be at the car dealer waiting for my car to worked on in the morning, I'll be taking that wireless for their hotspot access, plenty of time to screw with it.
