The Globesurfer (and the VirginBroadband labeled version here in 
Australia) connects to your PC via Ethernet - either cabled or wireless. 
It is OS agnostic.

Install process:

1. unpack unit from box.

2. plug unit into power socket

3. plug normal (POTS) telephone into telephone (RJ11) socket on unit.

4. plug supplied ethernet cable from unit to your PC (or LAN switch if 
you have multiple PCs).

5. Access unit via web interface and configure WiFi security (it comes 
open and active, so anyone can use it).

6. Restart PC (s) so that they pick up a DHCP address, default route and 
DNS address from the unit.

Start using internet.

This assumes you are in a 3G phone coverage  area with your supplier of 
course.
