I have one of these and use one to connect a pre-v2.1 based motherboard computer to a
network. It works great, is smaller than a pack of cards but as thick, comes with a nice
case, optional power cord (if you don't want to use USB power), short ethernet, remembers
4 profiles, etc.
It doesn't serve DHCP (it's not a DHCP server), so it requires either fixed IP or a DHCP
server (router) somewhere along the line. But at one time, I had a laptop and a special
VOIP phone attached via a hub, that were both VPN'ed into a office network via the
wireless network in my house.....it worked great.
My only complaint on this is the lack of WPA-2 support. IT DOES do WPA-PSK encryption.
