Yes, if it weren't for GenMAC testing purposes, I would steer clear of 802.11n until the standard is ratified. However, it's hard to be able to say that a driver works without being able to test all of its capabilities.
I don't know if Intel makes routers, either. I guess I should do some net stumbling to see what the success stories have been with the Intel card before making a purchase, even for testing.
Well "good on ya" as the Aussies say - for being willing to try this out. As you say without people taking the risk to test we wont make any progress. I wonder if it's worth asking the Access Point manufacturers if they support access from the Intel chip based 802.11N client - it may be that some of them have tested and approved the cards.
