Could this be a DNS problem ? when you do a NSLOOKUP from Windy on, for example ecomstation.com does it return an address or an error ?

If so manually enter the DNS addresses of your ISP in Windoze and see if this fixes the problems. As VPC to Host system is a Natting connection (i.e. you're on a different network), you will not be able to broadcast connect to other systems on your LAN, but should be able to connect if you enter their IP addresses.
