Have not tried a later version >(yet). The latest levels, from Dani's DOC files: "Daniela's S506 ADD - Release 1.8.1" "Daniela's generic ATAPI Filter - Release 0.4.0" Why not get the very latest? FWIW, I just copied a large directory, sub-directories and files to a DVD-RW using RSJ V6.01, eCS 2.0 RC2 and the above drivers: >~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >Total files listed: > 8,549 file(s) 1,289,343 K bytes used > >[G:\]dir z:\ > >Volume in drive Z has no label. >The Volume Serial Number is 0000:0001. >Directory of Z:\ > >10-21-07 5:34p 0 ---- . >10-21-07 5:34p 0 ---- .. >10-21-07 5:35p 0 ---- BackUp > 3 file(s) 0 bytes used > 3,395,729 K bytes free > >~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Although there was a strange RSJ PopUp Error message when the Finalization started, the process appeared to complete successfully and I was able to access a number of the files with no problems. The 'strange error' was: >~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >*** Error no 003 at 21.10.2007 17:55:48 ************************** > >Command: Read Format Capacity >Sense key: Not Ready >Adl. sense key: Drive not ready > >Sense buffer: >00000000 70 00 02 00 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 04 08 00 00 >00000010 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 >00000020 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 > >~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...which may have just been because the DVD drive was slow to come ready after the copying was done. Whatever, on my Tpad T60, MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-842 [Taken from the eCS Hardware Manager device properties.]. I have also written CD-Rs [e.g., The DFSee 9.02 Stand-Alone Boot from its ISO file.] with no problems at all. My view of this thread, FWIW: Get the latest software and don't risk hitting problems that have already been fixed.
