Scowl. The Linksys wirelese bridge is a WET54G here. I posted the letters wrong to start with. The Linksys router with Wireless ability is a WRT54GL. It is the Linxus able version. I have solved the problem now, thanks to the help here. The entire operation was done totally under OS/2 with the R40 Thinkpad. Rather than post the details here, I'd rather post them in a separate message in response to the one that woke me up to the trail down which I fixed this!
