I haven't tried the /!SCSI switch, which is Dani's third option: 3) BASEDEV=DaniATAPI.FLT or or BASEDEV=LOCKCDR.FLT This disables using the CD writer unit as a regular CD ROM drive. You better prevent DaniATAPI.FLT from exporting the CD writer as SCSI device by applying one of the /!SCSI options, because it will be exported by LOCKCDR.FLT now (too). Both RSJ and CDRecord may use the writer. If your CD writer model isn't listed in cddrv.inf, LOCKCDR.FLT from RSJ 3.x and above will autodetect and autoconfigure it. > I then installed the complete as is RSJ 5.5.3 on that box. Mine is quite visible. I noticed that statement, too, but I haven't tried burning to the ROM letter. In fact, I can't change the letter in CD-Writer Control to E: (my "normal" assignment), as it isn't seen as a CDWFS letter (probably due to the Dani option I've selected. > I'll be glad to follow a transfer of all this out of this group as needed. > But thought I could contribute here at this level with where I stand now. > > Thanks for your input, Mike.
