  followed by...

This is why I jumped to the conclusion that it might be UniCode.

Not until this cut/paste. I've seen the url change three different times.

     cn/vosy.html, which (when hovering over it in Peter W's SeaMonkey
     1.1.3 build) yields http://tnncu.xn--yutkq14-sza4033e/
   * Steve's quote of the previous message showed http://tnncu.yutkq
     cn/vosy.html, which brings up http://tnncu.yutkq/

I've never seen this happen when everyone is using plain text (we all are, aren't we?). It's very funny, actually, although the whole situation is quite disturbing.

Ahhh... Wait a minute. I thought  my character encoding was UTF-8; it was Western (ISO-8859-1). That might explain it for me. I just switched (back) to UTF-8.
