Hi Lewis,

OK, I put the PCMCIA Huawei E630 Turbo3G card back in the machine and
played around with it.    Here are my findings:

First, the PCMCIA Socket Controller does not seem to change any of its
settings with the card inserted -- IRQ Level, DMA Channel, Memory
notebook page controls are all blank, I/O ports show "0x3E1-0x3E4
Address Lines: 16 EXC" regardless of whether the card is inserted or
not.

Second, the PCMCIA Auto Configurator does not list this card (of
course.)

Third, The Plug & Play for PCMCIA does recognize that a card has been
inserted but Product Information is lacking.  It seems to be recognized
as a Memory card and the Status is In.  Card Services show the
following resources:
<IRQ>
3,4,5,7,9,10

<Memory>
D500 - DBFF
E100 - E1FF
Resources show:

Hard to tell if the above is good or bad.

Finally, all notebook controls in the USB Resource Manager program are
blank (except the settings for the program itself.

My conclusion is that the PCMCIA card controller recognizes that the
card has been inserted but does not recognize the card properly, thus
the USB controller also does not recognize it.

I do not have another opportunity to test the Huawei USB Turbo3G card
which may be easier to get to work.

Ideas anyone?
