Your device [based on the PCI info] is the 4224 level.  So, you want to
use the set of files named:
       WRAPPER_8086_4224
that should have been in the initial GenMac V2.00, along with the base
files indicated.  But, to be sure, you should get the latest
'experimental' level of GehNac so you have the most recent updates to
GENM32W.OS2 and HELPERW.EXE.

I do not know where to get the latest GenMAC files

You should at a minimum be using the GenMac 2.0 release: ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/genmac/genmac200.zip and since you have an Intel card also ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/genmac/genmac200_intel.zip   There is a newer release available for testing, but if your adapter is listed as supported by 2.0, you should try to get that working first.

Unless you are absolutely sure you need NETBIOS, I'd stick with *only*
TCP/IP.  At the very least, get your system working with the basics
first, then you can add NETBIOS OVER TCP/IP.  [I could be wrong, but I
believe, if you have this, you will not need native NETBIOS.]

I also don't know whether one eats NETBIOS with fork or spoon.  So, I
will try without it.

NETBIOS is for File and Print networking, also known as Peer networking. If you need to connect to another machine's resources (drives, or directories) use NETBIOS over TCP/IP.  GenMac works better with that protocol then the straight NETBIOS.  As Carl said it is best to start with just TCP/IP, which is the protocol used to connect to the internet.  Also make sure HELPERW.EXE is  at the top of your config.sys file.

Good luck,

That I will need a lot of.  I will try tomorrow because I hate to go to
bed knowing my computer is sick.

What problem are you actually having?  Does the driver load on boot?
