There are pros and cons to virtualization: * It's nice to be able to run several virtual servers on one piece of hardware; * It's nice to be able to reboot a virtualized OS in seconds instead of minutes; * It's nice to not have to worry about drivers for a plethora of OSes, and only for the base one OTOH: * Virtualization tends to under perform a native implementation; * Memory requirements for the host and guest OS can lead to several constraints (running multiple virtuals on desktop - or notebook - hardware can be, well, virtually impossible); * One loses out on the stability of the guest OS in lieu of accepting the stability (or lack thereof) of the host (NetWare is an extremely stable kernel; SuSE is, as well, though I have not found it to be as stable as NetWare - I won't go into the comparisons between the Windows OS and eCS) It's a coin toss.
