On the T30 use the soundmax audio drivers from the IBM website rather than UniAud.
On my wife's machine, I'm using UNIAUD with the 2915ABG (same PCI ID as the card I sold to Mark).
I don't think the STACK32 is the problem.
Perhaps not with newer versions of UNIAUD; I haven't tried.
I know there is a new version of Genmac being developed, perhaps that will support the 2915ABG better ?
Once we got support for the 4224, it's been pretty stable (the newer Intel NDIS5 driver has helped quite a bit, too).
Also try installing WiFi on its own without the Intel Pro/100 driver (which should be the native driver - not Genmac wrapper)
Yes!! This is a very good point, Ed, and I hadn't even thoguth to mention it in my new thread to Mark. I have been unable to get GenMAC to run both the Intel Pro/100 *and* the 2915 in the same configuration (on the T43, I use the native Broadcom driver, so I had forgottom about the T30 with the - better, IMO - Intel NIC). This is an important step.
Only load the TCPIP protocol to the card.
Right. Another point I neglected to stress in my earlier post. GenMAC seems to have trouble with multiple binds to the same device. My symptom is a hang running NETBIND.EXE at boot when attempting to bind IP and IPX to the wireless NIC.
This is a great list. Thanks (everyone) for contributing.
